Management Team

The management team all have proven experience in the development and commercialisation of innovative agricultural products.

They have all worked extensively together and have an excellent working relationship. This is a very professional and highly effective team with widespread international experience.

Mark Horner – Founder & Director

Mark has numerous qualifications in Horticulture. He has acquired a strong technical expertise through working in horticulture and crop nutrition for over 25 years. His previous positions have seen him build his expertise in tropical and desert crop nutrition along with his reputation for nutritional agronomic expertise in fruit, vegetable and ornamental crops. Mark’s technical expertise is renown throughout the fertiliser industry across the world.

Mike Panteli – Founder & Director

Michael is a qualified accountant with over 20 years’ experience, of which the last 14 have been in technology companies. He is an experienced chief financial officer and has worked with agricultural companies specialising in crop nutrition and nitrogen fixation. His expertise includes strategic development, capital fundraising, commercial development, customer and operational management and investor communications.

Peter Blezard – Founder & Director

Peter has extensive experience in the development of international sales and marketing strategies. This includes working with major companies on a global basis at board level. He has been involved with the agricultural industry since 2000 and is highly experienced in pioneering products into new markets. He was a founder and former CEO of Plant Impact plc.

Vera Gacic – Regional Sales Manager

Vera is Regional Sales Manager based in Norfolk, UK. She has a comprehensive background in arable crops spanning two decades. Possessing expertise across various facets of the agricultural sector, including crop production, advisory services, fertilisers management, IPM, sales and business management. Vera has a Master's degree in Crop Protection and is FACTS qualified.
Her professional focus extends to promoting soil health, ensuring crop vitality, and advocating for environmental sustainability. She is deeply committed to assisting farmers in optimising crop care, and thrives on tackling challenges and providing effective problem-solving solutions.

Tom Hore- Technical Sales Advisor

Tom is new to UK agriculture and joins as our new fruit agronomist. Tom has seven years as a technical and sales agronomist in New Zealand after completing a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Agriculture at Lincoln University.
He enjoys traveling around the UK sharing his experience and knowledge with growers and farmers while also learning more about what makes the local industries tick.

Chris Panteli – Operations Manager

Chris began working for Engage in 2016 in the accounts department.
In 2018 Chris incorporated the role of logistics manager into his responsibilities within Engage. Chris’ Job mandate now covers a wide range of responsibilities from warehouse management, stock management and customer oversight and care.
Alongside his many duties Chris is also studying for his Masters Degree.
Chris is a power lifter so makes short work of stacking pallets.

Karen Adamson – Financial Controller

Karen is a fellow member of the ACCA and has over 30 years’ experience working in both practice and industry. She is an experienced Financial Controller with thorough and methodical attention to detail. For the last nine years she has worked for agricultural companies. She is skilled at management and financial reporting, commercial modelling, cash flow management, forecasting, implementing internal controls and auditing. Karen manages all financial aspects of Engage Crop Solutions Ltd.

Debbie McLaughlin – Marketing and Brand Manager

Debbie has over 30 years’ experience in building brands and working in the marketing and design industry, with 15 years working in the agriculture sector.
She is responsible for developing the brand strategy for Engage, including marketing, video/film, photography, content, social media website and design.

Rula Al Atiyat – GCC Area Manager

Rula has been working with Engage since 2017 in the UAE and has been instrumental in the development of the Aqualatus technology in the GCC region running trials in Jordan, the UAE, Iraq and Egypt.
Her expertise is in civil engineering, and construction, and business management and see has been steadily gaining expertise in water management under Engage.
Rula also owns the Elite World general trading company which supports Engage in the UAE with trails development, Regulatory and working with civil projects such as mass developers and landscaping companies.

Adnan Zurba – MENA Regional Director

Adnan has extensive experience in the setting strategies for the development of sales, marketing strategies and product development in the MENA region.
He possess more than 35 years of progressive experience in the agricultural sector (21 of 35 years as a director for the MENA region). His work at various multinational firms has enabled him to set strategies tackling the agricultural issues arising in the region and have an in depth technical and geographical knowledge of the MENA region.
